Waters End

Waters end as eternity becomes walled in.
The edges of the horizon start closing in.
The mystery of the beyond is etched in matter.
Quixotic dreams became encased in stone.
Mother Earth is a beauty that lost her charm.
Her face is turning gray and wrinkled.
Her smile lost its luster from all the battles.
“Song of the Nightingale” is a forgotten melody.
It died out as the trees lost their fruits.
The forest nymphs stopped dancing
when the music ended.
The ghosts of the Apocalypse rose up
and danced to the death of life
as she breathed her last breath.
The waters ended and the beastly
trumpet specters sounded the dirge,
“Death of our
Dear Mother Earth.”
The end is the end is the end.
