What is humanity at its best
A better question would be, when? since this generation is tearing each other apart
One by one, day after day we all fall from the same fate
Its rare to actually find a natural death
Because now a days no one wants to accept that they’ve lost
So they want to take things to the street
Apparently we as a generation don’t know our place
Children being teens and teens either locked up or in a grave
Why does it have to be that way
Why should we be afraid to walk in our own neighborhood at night
I would’ve figured that you could actually trust a neighbor
But it’s a naive thought because some people can’t even trust their own brother
And it’s funny how some say that they’ve found religion
When the people who pile the bodies claim to be Christian
And use Jesus as a way to justify their actions because they believe that they’ll be forgiven
Not only will humanity come to an end
But we’ll die by the hands neighbors and former friends
This is no longer a way of life, but a race
A race to see who’s first to their grave
