One Fine Afternoon

One Fine Afternoon

One fine afternoon, I laid down in the awe of sunshine,
Smelling the fragrance of eucalyptus and wood pine.

Soaking in the sunshine, I close my eyes and smile,
Away from the chaos, traffic and noise, for tens of mile.

A mild breeze flows gently on my body and face,
I am surrounded in nature, far from the human race.

The air is vibrant and weather is placidly mild,
Laying in nature feels like a mother embracing her child.

I watch the leaves swaying to and fro with the air,
Like an arena with dancing ballerinas with glamour and flair.

I watch the butterflies flutter and hear the birds tweet,
Spending time in nature is very lovely, precious and sweet.

As I watch the gentle sun slowly setting down the hill,
I wish I can stay here forever and time could stand still.

(2013)
