Blind Beauty
I wrote this for my girlfriend to try and make her realise just how beautiful she is. Everyone thinks it apart from her! She still doesn't believe me to this day, it's very frustrating!
Oh how the fellow man doth yearn for her,
Yet she realises not,
Patiently waiting their turn for her,
In hope they have a shot.
They take one look into her spellbinding eyes,
And one by one become hypnotised,
Entranced by the beauty of this unaware girl,
Who sees not how she appears to the world.
Where others see grace, she sees ineptness,
She’s great enough to worship, yet she feels respectless,
This elegant beauty is yet to discover,
Why every man yearns for her to be their lover.
But for them alas, for she is with I,
I know not how this happened, nor do I know why,
All I know now is that tis up to me,
To make this girl see herself as the world sees.
