Stuck In Limbo
Lately I’ve really struggled to sit down and write a poem,
My life is hectic and the madness is forever growing,
I’m stuck in limbo searching for a way to end this chapter,
And climb the obstacles that stand between myself and rapture.
It’s complicated when you start again, let’s not pretend,
There are complexities a little hard to comprehend,
To start your future you must fix the problems of today
You can’t move on if all you choose to do is run away.
I’m known to be laid back, but I’m internally impatient,
Calm on the surface but a fire’s burning in the basement,
I have a plan but every time I try to make it work,
I overcome one thing and then another problem lurks.
I am persistent but the distance in which I must travel,
Is so consistent that I feel I’m starting to unravel,
My faith is wavering but I won’t let this world defeat me,
The system may have bruised me but I’ll never let it beat me.
