Briony
To a very good friend of mine
Part 1
Star sign Gemini, ruling planet mercury,
Briony; a perfect blend of beauty and diversity.
She’s one of those people who can walk into a room
And within seconds, her aura overpowers all the gloom.
You can’t help smiling at her upbeat personality,
So enthusiastic and full of originality.
No alcohol is needed to see prettiness in Briony,
She looks just as good in a complete state of sobriety.
Part 2
Briony, it’s said she’s even hotter than hermione,
And if you disagree I’ll tell you not to fucking lie to me.
She’s more quixotic than she even realises,
More ravishing to watch than seven sunrises,
So angelic you may think that she’s imaginary,
She wins every last compliment in my vocabulary.
No real reason for this second composition,
Other than the fact each line I write for you has an addition,
It’s like I use you as ignition without your permission,
And all I ask of you in return is for you to listen.
I have a way with words, some call me lyrical magician,
But I believe it’s the subject deserving recognition.
By which of course I mean I know I’m good at what I do,
But this poem would have no substance if it weren’t for you.
Next time you pass a mirror and see your reflection,
You’d better smile cus you’re looking at perfection
