Am I a Girl or a Guy?

Am I a Girl or a guy?
I ask myself this question
All the time,
So If you ask why
I will not be offended,
If I wear panties,
Let it be,
What I put between my legs
Is no one’s business but me;
If I want to wear a dress with stockings,
Do not respond with alarm or shock,
I rock a mean dress...
Forgive my face if my makeup
If it runs & is a mess,
I try to paint my nails
As elegant as I can assess,
I may travel with a purse,
If my bra is too tight
Don’t burst
Out laughing
You have seen worse,
I was born a man
But in this world
I’m trying to fit it
Where I can...
My role in it is murky & often banned,
Frowned upon & body beaten
All I want is to be accepted
And loved not demeaned;
If my perfume attracts you,
Come talk to me,
I may like you;
Skirts I enjoy with pretty shoes
And hair barets;
Don’t be offended if I tell you
I’m gay or prefer the intimate company of a man,
This life is too short to be lonely;
I must do what I can
To be myself
And be content
whether I a pretty girl
Or a gent.
