The motion of my hand in air
High enough to graze the clouds
I feel you here, I feel you there
Seeing you beyond the shrouds

Staring into guarded eyes
Lions in the still of stone
Watching all the threaded ties
Quiet upon the pillared throne

A listening sky of spectral hues
Marked with beams of eventide
I send along in subtle cues
What shines for you so deep inside

Pulled within and pulled without
Vulnerable and sensitized
To linger there and go about
The fragmentations since devised

Can that which seems to die
Be said to truly live?
Can only love be the reply
If love is all we truly give?

The word we do not say
In fear of all its meaning
In fear that it would give away
The thought of intervening

The thought that passes between
The pause beneath the sound
The light that is unseen
The theories we expound

The tilted axis of perception
Surrendered to the stars
Forgiving all the self-deception
Filling a thousand memoirs

The motion of your hand in air
High enough to graze the clouds
Feel me here, feel me there
See me from beyond the shrouds

We stare into these guarded eyes
Lions in the still of stone
Watching clouds adorn the skies
Living what cannot be known
