Colours of Man

Colours of man they speak of
As if just one is right
But shades of hues we each be
Can all be dark or light

A shade of grey sometimes descends
To black does often speed
It can start from angry’s red
Or green of envy’s need.

So multi-coloured, each of us
Chameleons of mood
Like that creature we should be
Guiding the colour’s food.

No one escapes the colours of man
We'll all be pale and deep
Which we choose marks path we take
Determines how we sleep.
