the Truth is ...
Life can be a lonely walk
through the woods...

often, the truth is unwelcome
so we choose to live a lie
rather than accept what is real
yes, we’d rather laugh than cry…
a brave front we show the world
even when hurt’s in our hearts
we flash a smile while we cringe
    because the fresh wound smarts…
we’re good at putting on a mask
to hide eyes glistening with tears
broken relationships we’ll keep
for days, months, and even years…
the truth we ignore, out of love
hoping that our plight is fleeting
that our instincts got it wrong
and the hurt we feel is healing…
sadly the pain will never go away
no, it won’t! even if we will it so
the cuts and the bruises fester
but we go on; even when we know…
    yes, the truth is unwelcome
yet we must face it sooner or later
we’d surely cry when we stop to lie
    but tomorrow will be brighter…

I've heard about wandering husband and also wandering wives. Fidelity is a moral obligation

The truth is the truth. If it caters to us, then we like it even more. But within that catering we move that truth to our liking. Then it is not the truth if we try to make it the truth. It becomes something that we don't want to hear if we don't move it.
