Super Hero

How many times could we wrap around the world
If everyone in it stood hand in hand?
Exactly how far would you fly
To come and be my superman?
Would you give the rest of your days
To stay and be my hero?

How many times can we dream the same dream;
Reliving every moment of that day we fell in love?
I remember that conversation at three o’ four,
Oh how I wish the time we had was more.

However, what’s done is done
And you are more than long gone.
Been a while since you donned that cape of yours;
So long since you’ve come to rescue me.
Too long since I’ve been Lois Lane;
And too long I’ve waited for my superman.

So I count each slow second dragging by.
How many times do my insides need to die
Before you come to take away this knife?
Would you kiss me back to life?

Well, lets all stand, hand in hand;
Lets call to our savior: Superman.
Let us call as loud as we can to our hero;
Inform him of what he doesn’t know.
Tell him Lois Lane is looking for Clark Kent:
Tell him only he can sweep her off her feet.

Lets encircle the world a million times;
Round and round till we hear the sound
Of superman saving this damsel in distress.
And if we yell it from our rooftops,
And from every mountain peak,
Will he be our super hero?
And would he rescue me?
