on nebra horizons
or the sun boat in the night?
Are the far distant mountains
without snow or cloud
an impression of
mountains of the moon.
Blue on black fading
to mauve and deep purple
behind pale grey and fawn white
impression of hills in the foreground.
Deep this darkening evening
relieved by clouds
parting to reveal alps
speaking to the soul born in them.
