From the factory
A siren blasts from the rusted factory
below the tobacco-coloured iron roof,
sorting and packing inside
with minutes in between,
whistles and horns from a train
pulling in, shunting out of Limbe station
now past its glory days
here where workers move in and out
starting overtime
down time and down payments
on this public May Day
holiday.
