Look in the Mirror
Take a glimpse at your face after reading this...
What do you see?
When you face yourself in the mirror?
When you look at your eyes?
At your lies?
Do you see what you want to see?
Or you see who you think you are?
The person you hate most?
Or the one you love most?
Are you satisfied with it?
With your reflection?
Well, you might say yes,
you might say no
It’s in human nature to feel like this
One: to feel superior at your physical look
Two: to feel inferior because of the same reason
Well, they are both wrong
People judge in what they see
not based on what they know
One: you are selfish, thinking only about you
Two: you are depressed, thinking you’re not worth it
People may criticize the way you look
But it depends on you
to give value or not
to their critic
It depends on you,
to know who you are
To see inside you
You cannot change everything
You can only change the bad things
But don’t lie to yourself
thinking you are all mistakes
God, doesn´t have mistakes
And if you are an atheist,
then belive in yourself at least
We are all alike
We are the same nature
Not the same abilities
or physical condition
or intelligence
or beauty
But we all feel
And that is what defines us
What makes us who we are
What makes us that reflect
Dress as you want
Your clothing is not you
And is curious how their clothing is good
and their way to be isn’t
Sluts, Idiots
Ignorants, Pretentious
All in this world
Living without knowing themselves
But good the news is that this
you can erase from the mirror
And transform in who you are
In the one that you MUST be
So take a look in the mirror,
don’t cry, don’t try to escape
Nothing more, nothing less...
