Why can I never find a place that I can comfortably stay?
I know a place not far from where you live, I’ll take you one day.
Why do people see me as a threat? They don’t come near,
I know a place where you’ll be loved and we all don’t have a fear.
What comes of me, if I stay away will you put me back in place?
It is your choice but we’ll be there to help you with kindness and grace.
What happens if I fall behind or not laugh like others do?
You’ll be safe that’s all that matters and that I promise you.
Will you be there in times when they don’t understand?
When tears are rolling down your face, please come and take my hand.
I wish that I was better, less troubles on my mind.
To me you are an angel, all we do is help you cross that line.
What line is it, what path is there, that I can go and follow?
This line of trust, this leap to take you through the days like tomorrow.
I am but youth, I am not seen or heard, to some a shadow.
Come inside, you’ll be our light which we can all take in and swallow.
Will you be there? Every step of the way, don’t worry I’m a friend.
When you need help, my dear I’m here to help you try to mend.
