Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
it trickles down my face as fast as
it trickles down the sand
soft       sweet      accepting sand
it’s obviously unreliable
always coming and going
without a goodbye

Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
shells that were once jewels dazzling
in the sea
glimmering with pride
are cracked        shattered        abused
chewed up by the mortal enemy
of the shore.             the wave.

Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
I wave hello and goodbye
as I watch a battle between
good and evil
whose the good, when all there is is evil?
if a sliver of steel is the world’s salvation
then red is the color of victory

Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
time is up
the big moment is upon us
I fill my lungs with sweet, salty air
the oxygen swims around my body
encompassing every ounce of my being

Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
my metallic salvation is cold and hard
in my hand
no more room for error
I deduct the perfect spot
to color the painting           red.

Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
you touch my skin
I put pressure on yours
I second guess myself
but the thought is already there
suddenly I can’t hold it anymore
I let go.

Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
you caress my skin
the battle of good and evil
is over
I fly through the air
the air is cold and crisp

Crash.                 Pow.               Boom.
I am falling
                           falling fast
I have never felt more release
I watch my painting come alive
I watch              and watch
and finally I
Crash.                            Pow.
