In her they see a beauty sought; in herself she believes not.
Her happiness a fallacy wrought; yet still she perceives what they do not.
Please, goddess of life, explain to me your heart’s strife.
Allow yourself to realize that you are no prize
to be won in a contest, let loose the pain from your unrest.
Weary bouts against an invisible wall, questions lining your inevitable fall.
Angel of beauty, why does it pass so? From the pedestal yourself you throw.
The words are not lies that you hear; place them to your heart so dear.
Understand your light you shine is not just a flame down the line.
Find it in yourself the love; you possess more than enough.
My soul cringes when they see this light, but you fill with fright.
What is left to prove when you decide you will never lose
against the destructive thought tying your joy in knots?
In being enough for yourself you’ll stop the need to delve
into the drama of life, hence the end of the strife.
Feel that love and smile, feel it and rejoice; you are enough!
