The tides are turning...

The tides are turning, I’ve found some luck;
Ran round my brain to clear the muck.
Opportunity lost but never sounded
Like I would ever imagine.
Alliteration has crossed my mind
But I’m feeling a different path this night;
Seeking to discover where this bind
Has taken hold of so much fright.
My sides are yearning, ran aground and stuck;
Trouncing in the rain because I don’t give a fuck.
These ridiculous claims remain unfounded
Like I would ever sin.
So smiles weak? Eyes are shining,
Cleverness has me smirking.
And I take another path this chorus
Would you know what he had in store for us?
My soul is learning, I reach out to pluck
A fowlness so discreet down this road I truck.
Her mind and soul, I’ve clearly wound it
Like I would ever do her in.
These paths are crossed like tangled vines
Our time together aged like wines
In bottomless cellars and creaking doors
Welcome us to our familiar shores.
The tides are turning, I’ve found some luck;
Crossed my mind a time or two
That oft repeated rhymes are a sign of times
Of boredom or perhaps another thing.
Like I would tell you in this din.
