Garden

My shadow fell across a rose:
  Within its open folds
Of orange petals I put my nose -

The sweetness of its scent
  Filled my head
And truly quenched

My sense of smell and curiosity.
  A solitary apricot rose
It stood out in the greenery

Of my small garden,
  Edged with high hedges,
An empyrean, and hidden.
