Whoosh!

The sound of the sea
As it races in
Is a mighty din
Voiced by the god of the ocean as we flee
From the ravenous swell flooding in.

We laugh as we run out of reach
With the crunch underfoot of the stony beach
Then the soft of the sand,
Part of the walk we had planned
Along the beautiful strand.

The wash of the sea looks so creamy
And cold
So white and so gleamy
That runs and pools then rushes and folds,
In one below freezing, the sun all gold.

The waves are playing games, having fun,
Mesmerising us with the sheen
Of the sun
While the frost across fields makes a run
Back to green.

The love of the sea in a gush
Is teasing the shore
Through the pull and push
Of the moon, and the roar
Of nature is a glorious whoosh!
