Perceptions

What can I say about a Rainbow
That has never been said before;
Or the emotional wonder of a star filled night?
That array of lights on heaven’s door.

How do I express a mountain breeze
Or the cold, crispness, as it enters the nose?
How do I explain the warmth it creates?
The warmth that fills the depth of souls.

How do I describe the oceans and lakes
And all the creatures, without and within;
The seashores, islands, forests, and trees?
Oh where oh where shall I begin?

I might just say “GOD” and leave it at that
And some would know what I mean.
I guess it’s a matter of how one perceives
And that “Still, quiet, voice” when viewing a scene.

For me it was on a foggy beach
(It could have been a forest or Glenn),
I closed my eye and opened my heart
And a whole new perception entered in.
