Xmas
After Hours Shopper
There is a shadowy figure on the wall
On this early Christmas morning
And it moves with the stealth of Ninjas,
Darting and dashing, without warning.
The mall is closed, it’s too late to shop,
Has someone outwitted the security team?
Alarms don’t ring and the cameras are dead
Maybe the intruder is a Yuletide Dream.
Creeping,— in and out of the finest shops
And tip-toes through some other stores,
This thief is acquiring a selective stash.
I’m saying this Shadow— really scores!
Six shopping carts round a corner
With the Shadowy figure close behind.
Santa’s wife wants Elf-less stuff,
So, Santa goes shopping for the other kind.
