To sleepless nights...and drugs/alcohol.
Lying awake at 3:19.
Listen closely; hear the crickets sing.
In the morning, at the break of dawn,
the birds awake to sing their song.
Outside your window the trees start to sway;
your eyes are left open, waiting for a brand new day.
The woods are your home your home,
and you don’t feel so alone.
A smile lines your lips.
There’ll be no more bad trips.
The morning shimmers across your face;
feeling calm in this empty space.
A waterfall, a river, and a stream or two.
See the liquid in it’s beautiful hue.
After a long night awake,
your breath will be taken and the dawn will break.
But eventually the sky has to fade
into familiar setting shades.
So just grab your guitar and step outside,
joining nature in it’s melodic tide.
