Love In It's Simplest Form
Roses are red;
Violets are blue.
I am in love
with the things that you do.
Rubies are red;
Saphire’s blue.
I am not ashamed to say,
“I admire you.”
Blood is red;
Veins are blue.
This could be the reason
my heart beats for you.
Fire is red;
while the ocean is blue.
I promise you this:
All of my words are true.
Hearts are red;
Tears are blue.
And, I have given
both of mine to you.
Strawberries are red;
Plums are blue.
But, neither are as
sweet as you.
The sun burns red;
while the sky beams blue.
I cannot deny the way
my love shines for you.
One color is red;
another is blue.
But, neither can compare
to the rainbow glowing in you.
Roses are red;
Violets are blue.
There are too many ways of saying,
“I love you.”
