I wish you happiness in the days of your life
That you may find true contentment in times of want
I wish you inner peace in those moments of strife
That you may find the gentle strength to be pliant
 
I wish you gratitude for all of God’s blessings
That you may celebrate them in His glorious grace
I wish you wisdom well beyond what your age brings
That you may uphold what’s right in matters you face
 
I wish you friends who know your faults yet remain true
That with them and others your blessings you may share
I wish you patience for all the dreams you pursue
That through the stumbles and falls you still better fare
 
But most of all, I wish you love, above these all
That you may find the reason for having all these
And should you not have even one at beck and call
I wish you then faith that you may well be at ease
