How Do You Hug A Memory?
Do you close your eyes and pray to God above
To let you travel back in time and relive the moment?
Or do wish yourself to sleep
That you may make even more even if it’s just in dreams?
Do you go back to the places and reminisce
The minutes spent that complete the story?
Do you sit across the empty chair or
Do you sit in the empty chair?
Do you retreat into the quietness of being alone
And listen to the words etched in your heart?
Or do you try to pluck out the smiles, the laughters,
The tears, the silliness to fill the void?
And then wonder how an empty space can be so full
Yet have nothing for you to hug?
