She is my Angel
I fall in love every time I look into her eyes.
A love with no end to my surprise.
I never thought Love could feel so perfectly.
But then she came along and I was hooked enormously.
Wrapped around her little finger without shame.
Some day she will tell me Daddy you’re so lame.
Then she will slowly start to drift away.
I will never be ready for that day.
My heart will break and tears may flow.
But I will still be proud as I watch her grow.
Ill smile and nod with simplicity joy.
Until the day she brings home her first boy.
He best remember I am her hero.
And if he is a chump or some stupid little zero,
Then his legs better run faster than the speed of light,
Or he may be in for one hell of a fight.
Cause that’s my little angel no matter the age.
So a warning to all don’t rattle the cage.
Because I am her hero her protector and most importantly her DAD.
And unless they become a worthy side kick then they will become just a fad.
But for now I will enjoy her “so big and more please” signs.
And watch as my little angle shows all how she shines.
For this love right here will go on and on.
To the stars to the sun to heaven and beyond.
