No one knows the dark as well as I do
with it’s musky wet dusty dry unlighted side
no seep hole to see through for a way out
as if there was you would never know
too dark for anyone to understand the logic of it’s simplicity
darkness is a stoned coal wall that if ever touched it will stain your skin
leaving you feeling insecure about your complexion
oh but how the darkness devours our life’s not always at night
but also in the daylight.
it warps your mind at it’s finest times
enlighten me on this day to show me an exit out of this dark hand chipped tunnel
I put myself in....

(2013)

someone trying to find a way to the good side and to get out of the dark side

I like this poem... it comes across as content to stay in the familiar while at the same time resolute to experience change...
