Thingz to get Into
In a way im kinda like her, I just wanna be sure; that she’s sure.
If I knew all of the answers, I’d gladly give her the blue brint, to make sense of a mere thought, no mind games-just mind frames.
I think that times change, and people disattach, as a matterfact; I’d give two pots to piss in, and the water off a camels back, just to bring some of em back..
You know; the ones we lost, at least the ones that had relevance.
Maybe they could of made some kind of difference–,see my aim was to stay two steps ahead of the game, now here I am barely educated, been through gang wars and stagnated,
Still thanking God I made it, and I ain’t even half way there yet. I always called them a threat, when im my own worst enemy-blaming somebody else for my tendencies, as if them or they really cared.
They dont know me they just patrol me, and some of em come from where im from. Dont they understand we trapped.
Well; maybe not physically, but mentally we dont know no better. We only know what they tell us,
Wait-Wait-I retract that statement, my mother did raise me better, im just saying shit, I once did expect greatness, but I was a kid then,
I wonder what happen to all those dreams; did somebody kill em, anyway tomorrows a new day, so I try to fill em with forward progess, as those who I once called friends start asking what up, where you been.
I tell em I trying to do better, they say for what, I say for me, the army ain’t the only way you can be all you can be.
I’d like to leave an impression, some kind of legacy behind.
They follow up with, lets go get a drink and everythin a be fine. Its possible thinking like that is the very thing holding you back, thats like buying off the rack, an I could be tailor made with it.
