Honey Bee
She works and she works 12 hours a day
Only for her honey to be taken away
Pollinating flowers and building comb
All for someone to take a piece of her home
She cleans the hive and protects her brood
Only for a drone to ask her why she’s in a mood. She works all her life building a home
All to be unappreciated by the drone
He spreads his seed and that’s all she needs
From the drone who lives among the bees.
When times get cold he is booted out
She’s confident in her decisions she has no doubts.
She knew he could not gather she knew he could not build
For her hive to survive she knew the drone must be killed.
