Do You!

Along with time, we are moving in different ways.
You go way over there on a jet.
For days I’ll walk I would bet.
Yet as time, we are all going in one direction.
Soon, or our later
is written as fate where
heart—stop—ultimate date
to be carved in a bolder.

You do know you will be older
no matter how young you were now.
Fires grow brighter only to smolder
and time shows signs of how.

You, you wonderful model!
You high—flying Phoenix unmatched!
To you and your smile,
your breathing,
your pain—
To you I am always attached.

Do you!
Do you!
Do you think you can be what you are?
‘Cause I would consider ’self richer by far
if “Do you” meant you would be my only
star.

Many times I look out from inside.
Maybe rain falls, maybe butters fly.
Many times I swam out at low tide.
Maybe tears drop; Grown men cry.
