peacemaker not a warrior
on a donkey ride
Greeting palms along the way
confident to clear chaos
as a messiah not king
Miracles made faith mended
ate together one last time
revealed one is unfaithful
Welcome glance in the garden
silver in bag kiss given
condemned... carried cross to die
Rooster crowed third denial
in the death land of the skulls
repentant thief heavenward
Hands washed and greed killed traitor
a humankind legacies
of the good and the ugly
all in a Holy Week’s time
and as the word became flesh
forgiveness rules Easter Week
resurrection gave us hope
the peacemaker ascended
