I am a believing and practicing Christian. I study God's word daily. I write Christian poetry but I also write on other topics. My poems are very simple. I don't use fancy or big words so this may be disappointing to some. I love the old Classic Poets like Sara Teasdale, Robert Louis Stevenson, and a whole host of others. I love all kinds of music from hard rock to classical. I'd like to share a few quotes, sorry I do not have all the names of the authors; Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option” “A woman often thinks she regrets the lover, when she only regrets the love” By Francois de la Rochefoucauld “One of the hardest things in life is watching the person you love, love someone else.” “The one that seems to love the least, has the most control, in a relationship” “I love walking in the rain, 'cause then no-one knows I'm crying.” “Until this moment, I never understood how hard it was to lose something you never had.” “Being hurt by someone you truly care about leaves a hole in you heart that only love can fill.” “The love that lasts the longest is the love that is never returned.” "I dropped a tear in the ocean, and when you find it, that is when I will stop loving you. A few Quotes from Me, Debra A man should always, say what he means, and mean what he says, because, this is his signature. The more people you have in your life, the more problems, there will be to endure. Smart is a woman who guards her heart. Foolish is a woman, who lets a man, tare her heart apart. © Debra
Hi, My name is Amanda Joannevaeh Steinbrecher. Everyone calls me Lady J. I am 27 years old. I have two children, a nine year old son named Shayn Azriel and a three year old daughter named Nacirema Jillian. I used to be very shy and timid. I would hide all of my poetry, so no one would see my true feelings and emotions. I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. In second grade I won an Echoes Theatre Award for my writing, and the awards, certificates, and recognitions have continued consistently on in my life. Poetry is my greatest outlet to express myself. I ahve always used poetry as my escape from pain, and always go back to re read everything I write to see where I have been in the past emotionally and mentally, and to stay update reading how far I have come. Some of my poetry will make you sad, or be sensitive to some readers, so I ask that you read at your own risk. Other pieces I have written are very motivatioanl and inspirational. I hope and pray that through my poetry I can help inspire others who may have faced some of the same struggles I have myself. I pray everyone on here with be abundantly bless with joy, peace, harmony, happiness, laughter, and Love. God Bless You All !! Sincerely, <3 Lady J. <3
My name is Kamu, but names only stay important in the physical world. I am a writer, a poet, a photographer, and an artist. I am a person in this world, that just wants to contribute to all the creative energy in this world. Hoping that my poems will inspire and positively affect people, to let them wander into the deeper side of their life, to pull out the words from their thoughts, and creatively place them into reality. In my journey through life, I am constantly being awakened into someone else's imagination, and I share my thoughts and reflect upon theirs, being inspired to write from ideas that we have all put out together, sharing the images and emotions that come from our complex human minds. To me, questions are the most important thing of all. The art of questioning all and having theories and trying to fill out the unknown seems to be one of my greatest fascinations. I love thinking about things that stay a mystery in this world. It is what inspires me to write. Writing is a way for me to express in a way that is unavailable in any other form of art, or on a greater scale, life. I hope you enjoy what I am trying to express, and I hope to be inspired by your creativity as well. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Georgia-lee but feel free to call me Gee. I'm 17 years old and I've been writing poetry from the age of 13. I love to write - it's a way of expressing who I am as a person, and the possibilities of these expressions are endless. I hope that you all enjoy my poetry and I'll endeavor to continue writing :)
I'm a 20-year-old independent, and outspoken individual. I don't write to impress anybody, I've found that writing is a healthy way for me to cope with my depression and other emotions, whether they're nostalgic, happy, or an ambivalent mixture of the two. I'm in the process of trying to find myself. I'm from Massachusetts, the state with the most successful sports teams (in my opinion at least), aggressive drivers, "wicked" rude people, bipolar weather, and awesome clam chowder. Oh yeah, - it's also the world headquarters of mispronouncing the letter "R". :) One of my greatest influences in life has been Hayley Williams, the front woman of the band Paramore. Growing up as a teen, I felt completely alone. Her music helped me find a much stronger part of myself that I wouldn't have realized existed otherwise. It's an amazing feeling when you discover music that you can relate to some of the most heartfelt moments of your life, and other components of it that make you who you are. I'm an animal, piercing, tattoo, and book lover, and also a huge motorcycle enthusiast. - Would love to own one sometime in the near future! If you'd like to talk to me more, feel free to email me anytime at the email I have provided! <3 Diana D.
Im a down to earth person poetry is my life im sweet caring and all that is good but still not perfect i love seeing other peoples poems that express themselves the same way i do. I have a good life wont say the best but i still live it and believe in life going on im very inspired with music i love it its my escape. My poems are what describes me and how i see life and it should help people because things that i write are completely true and we live life that way and poems are words of encouragement that should help with a few good words that get to ones heart to help them believe in it.

I'm been writing poetry as long as I can remember. Growing up I faced several traumas which affected my health and made me very ill. Poetry has always been my escape, something I do when I feel I need to express my feelings and I am only able to make sense of them when pen meets paper. Originally I only ever wrote poems for myself, almost like a private diary. However after one of my teachers came across my poem book I received enormous amounts of praise for my work and how she felt she really connected with one of my pieces as it was something close to her heart. This made me consider being more open with my poetry and a friend of mine recommended I start showing them to the public which is my reason for joining Poeticous. My poems aren't fantastic but they mean very much to me and I hope you will be able to connect with them. Always great full of feedback- I'd love to here from you! -Hannah
