Triumph

If you too have felt deflated,
Crushed and fooled by a thing called love;
If you too have triumphed
And overthrown the pain that rains from above:
Then you need not listen to my words of wisdom,
‘Cause you know what I Write of.

If you know not of what I speak,
Then listen now and please take note;
Upon the greatest men has befallen
A pain, intense, from those upon we dote:
And in this small comfort I offer more comfort still,
“You too will triumph” is the message I promote.

So if you should find yourself,
Defeated, destroyed and void of hope;
Do not give in, whine or pine
Or give way to drastic thoughts of the rope:
Just remember yourself, and you will triumph,
And remember my son, you will cope!
