Spring-time Masquerade

Snow covered north side of Myers Road,
but south side green grass in summer’s glow,
as we drive on through the country meadows
and the transition of the season undergoes.

A warming of the side that faces the sun,
but winter still holds on to fool everyone.
It wears a mask at the masquerade
as winter’s out on a merry escapade;
one side winter and the other summer
to bamboozle each and every traveler.
