Turkey Receptacles

After the feasting on turkey and more turkey,
who becomes the receptacle or the donee?
Instead of dumping the leftovers in the trash
or making tons of dinners of turkey hash,
we invite big fat Uncle Fred over for a treat
and send him back home with plenty to eat.
 
Receptacles in the family are good to have.
Having big fat Fred around is not so bad.

I wrote this for the Belt and Beyond (Thanksgiving issue)
