Sleeping in the shadows
Where no light can find
A break in these trees
Where it may shine
Sleeping in the shadows
Without keeping time
Waiting for me
To finish this rhyme
Sleeping in the shadows
Pictures are blurred
Drowning my body
My soul is cursed
Sleeping under a tree
Sleeping in between
Everyone seems to think
This is only a dream
Waking to noise
Waking to sound
Waking to movement
All around
I’m surrounded
I’m served a plateful of fear
Don’t come closer
Don’t come near
Its only a dream my dear
That’s what they say
They think I’m crazy
And turn the other away
Crushed by the darkness
Evil shall fall
I don’t think I’ve ever
Felt this small
Gasping for breath
Walk towards the edge
No promises are kept
Don’t push me off this ledge
I should be happy
This is what I chose
As the lightning flashes
And the water flows
Everything slows
The doors all close
The wanting fades
And the darkness pulls
It knows my name
And now it swallows
My entire being is now
