I Love to Wear Dresses

I love to wear dresses,
To feel like a girl,
In pretty petticoats, pinafores,
Wedding gowns & sundresses, I swirl,
I love to wear dresses
To feel like a sissy girl,
Wearing pretty panties underneath
Curled tightly is my hair in bow or pigtail,
I smile to show my teeth,
Don’t dare tell & all will be well,
Why don’t girls wear dresses everyday,
Don’t stop me from wearing them anyway,
I love to wear dresses,
Please don’t ask me to put them away,
On account of my gender,
Girls play—trucks & cars all day,
Fights fire, female doctors in medical array,
Shoot for the stars or sit as judges while we pray,
Just let me have my dresses,
Lingerie & leotards to display
What’s wrong with a man wanting to be pretty...
To be a girl anyway?
Shouldn’t clothes—panties, bras, stockings & dresses
Be for anyone it interests?
Woman can wear pants,
And no one steals a second glance...
I will keep my dresses,
And wait for the next dance,
You may look at me,
I’ll pose & smile with confidence at last
