The pain is all the same

Different kind of heartbreaks, same hurt
For death knows not its murderer and casket knows no owner
It’s all the same in the end
The sunken eyes and the drooping shoulders
Like drying tear drops
It hurts all the same
Different hearts, same old feeling
The one of exploded dreams like meteorites hitting the earth
Faded stars, dark nights
For misery knows no company
And a journey never knew its traveler
There are no   borders sanctioned to pain,
To cries held back in heavy chests
Would the heart pain any less if it didn’t know the extent of the betrayal?
Clutching your chest, eyes wide open in shocked surprise
Jaws hung low, gasping for air as you try to mouth the words
‘How could you?’
The bleeding, the hollow echoing emptiness, the fear of scars
You bending over the kitchen sink trying to gather all the pieces
Before they are washed down the sewage pipe
The deed is done

Daggers, spears, silver lined bullets
Would it hurt any less?
