Somewhere between my stumbling feet
And my dusty compass
Somewhere between the sunbaked cross roads
And my shriveled map
Somewhere between my faith and my plans
Somewhere between postponed trials
And high set bail
Somewhere between the judge
And the adjourned court
Somewhere between the jury’s decision
And my guilty conscious
Somewhere between the deserted alley
And battered concrete walls
Somewhere between the flickering street lamps
And hovering shadows
Somewhere between my beated spirits
And darkened heart
Somewhere between my smiles
And my tears
Somewhere between my yes
And my no
Somewhere between the black
And the white
Yes right there at the grey patches
You will find me……
