The Peacock-feathered flute..

The sound of a flute enchants the clouds
Ringing through the earth and skies..
Awakening her being from the daily chores of life
And springing a jolly surprise

Somewhere beside the muddy fields
On the wet, green grass..
Beneath the clouds He plays His peacock-feathered flute..
While dark clouds overhead pass...

The tamal tree above His gold-crowned head
Is the brooding place of love
As black, and grey the skies go now..
Darkness engulfs from above...
The muddy roads or the flooded soil
Would never stop the lass
From following the notes of the tune
With the wings of love she has..

The grey skies above with flickering lightening..
As thunders threaten the earth...
Heavy rains shower the living world
While the flute sings of mirth...

The dark clouds give out a deafening roar..
Passion has met its aim
The pouring rainfall with the mystic tune
Is too strong an emotion to tame...

While the monsoon clouds tell the tale
The flute plays on its tune..
The trees give shelter from the showering rain
As hearts do commune..
It is the season of love...
