A Twinkling Star..

It was a rosy evening then
A light drizzle... with romantic breeze...
I was walking by the dusty road
The stars were shining in their heavenly abode
A full moon-bathed evening it was...

The time was before they made the clock
Hours and seconds were alien then
The mystic craze for divinity
Was materialized with austerity
And I was a young man

My youthful self was full of dreams
A ravishing diamond with million gleams
When silently Passion made its way
And with its tune, my heart did sway
The rosy evening... with all its hue...
Was too much for me

Up above the celestial stars
The diamonds in the jet-black sky
With moonlight pouring from up high
Yeah, it did make me want to fly
Out to the zodiac constellations of Ecstasy
Into the crimson-violet supernovas...

A war has no place for men like me
‘Jiggling fools who use rhymes with glee’
“Survival of the fittest” is what you need
In this blue planet

So thereby I came crashing down
From the Milky Way to the dusty road
The road was going on and on
All my well-wishers all have ‘gone
With the wind’

Still today I am walking on
The desolate road to my end
Still every evening, the stars do shine
Like diamonds in a coal-mine...

So, on every full moon rosy evening
When there is a monsoon drizzle
If you see through the romantic breeze...
Along the horizon when you look,
Like a page from a story-book...
An ancient fairytale will come true
A few lines will mean a thousand words
The clock will begin to tick backwards...
And you will see a lone figure
Walking by, the dusty road...
