Escapism Is What Prevents Our Escape
I’m not a Buddhist
but I understand that the bodhisattva
doesn’t enact his escape from suffering by
exiting the cycle of birth, old age, sickness, and death
but through the determination to remain
and serve others
This may be a clue
that while none of us are free to go
we are all free to go on
together
