“Fire, fire on the mountain”
The World to Come
There was only one time
When God didn’t give people a choice:
When God chose Jews
He didn’t give them a choice
As compensation
He gave them the Torah
Which, ironically
Is the ultimate responsibility
As responsibility is otherwise paired with freedom of choice
But this is our clue that
The Torah itself is absolute freedom
And we access this freedom
By taking complete and total responsibility
For the Torah
For in following the Torah to the nth degree
We will have taken complete and total responsibility
For our yetzer hara
(Our evil inclination)
Which is how we actualize
Absolute freedom for our yetzer tov
(Our good inclination)
Which is to say that
Our yetzer hara is as great a gift
As our yetzer tov
And we are all gifted
Jews, though
Have been gifted with the Torah
And when we all learn enough Torah
One of us will know
We are ready for the truth
Turning to us and saying:
I couldn’t come
Until you were no longer afraid
That I wouldn’t come
Because you are no longer afraid of anything
But God
He is known as Moshiach
And his yetzer tov
Is exactly as strong
As his yetzer hara
As is ours
He just knows it
As shall we
And then the truth will spread like wildfire
As the whole world is on fire
With the love of God
