Caricamento in corso...

One-Way Highway

Sittin’ in this smoky tavern,
Amongst all these people who call themselves friends,
Music’s blarrin’ loud,
Beer and mixed drinks,
Bunch of pool-playin’ idiots,
Reminds me of you:
Where we met,
Where we fell in love,
Times lapsed now,
But the tavern remains the same.
You live life on a one-way highway,
One-way track to nowhere,
Where giving in is like giving up,
And giving up is the worst thing we can do.
Love non-existent,
Burdens you don’t have,
Alcohol your only true friend,
Consequences you don’t have,
On that one-way highway to nowhere,
You find comfort,
Like a wall,
You break for no one.
One-way track,
One-way highway,
Nothing to show for it,
Only you standing all alone,
On this dull earth.
