Touch Of Madness

You don’t leave your room,

Remain sitting and listening,

Don’t listen,

Simply wait.

Don’t wait,

Be quiet, still and solitary.

The world will freely offer itself,

Unmasked.

It has no choice;

It will roll in ecstasy at your feet,

A weak person.

Who yields to the temptation?

Denying himself a pleasure,

I gave you a smile.

You could feel in your hip pocket,

Out upon it, I have loved.

Our years together,

Like to love more,

If it prove fair.

I don’t continually question my reason to live;

It’s just a state of being.

The real question:

What am I doing with the living?

I’m doing what I want to do with that living.

I want to be wanted,

But all in all I’m not.

To be free is to have achieved my life;

Free your mind and your ass will follow.

No winning smiles will do here,

No prettily drawn lists of good intentions either.

It is better to be hated for what I’m not,

Than loved for what I am.

God enters by a private door into every individual;

The best way to know God is to love many things,

But if your frozen,

And won’t let someone warm your heart,

You only see what your eyes want you to see.

How can your life be what you want it to be?

For anything worth having,

One must first pay the price.

The price is always,

Work, patience, love and sacrifice,

Which I offer up to you.

Even in the common affairs of life,

Love, friendship and marriage,

How little security we have,

When we trust our happiness in the hands of others.

No matter the happiness I can give you, you refuse it,

Refuse a girl who can give all of herself,

Make your heart debonair,

Share in all your cares, sorrows and pains.

I’m willing to go the distance,

Yet, you refuse,

'Tis the touch of madness,

A price I’m willing to pay.
