For a body
Of scars and lumbs
Limbs that mean nothing
But reach
I keep
A broken bond heart
In the chest caged like a bird
Yelling freedom like it’s unheard
And if i loved myself as half as I pretended half as much as I defended
But I guess it’s all fake
The laugh we make at ourselves
To fit in
To pretend to who him?

I’m a body
Scarred and marked
Each bruised marks a stop and start
Each scar The half hearted restart
Every beat of this unbeaten heart
Trying to push me far
To the ends of men’s reach
To as far as my feet will go
Bloody and bloated like wearing new shoes to a dance floor
Where lonely men claim me a fat whore
And where I remember in my mind
I’m more than their normal kind
