Outstretched
People think depression is a noisy
Over complicated mind
Busy running to find
The meaning in your life
But depression for me is quiet stillness
Numb to the work of everything
Much like an abusive relationship
You just ignore what’s happening until you cant anymore
When is enough really enough?
When he beats you?
When you see that your friends dont need you?
When he drugs you?
When you see your loudness as a problem?
When he rapes you?
When the people you love think you do anything for attention?
When he manipulates you to stay?
When you finally pick up a blade?
Decaying is depression
Because your mind is wasted on thinking of nothing
The buzzing in your ears ringing in the dark night
Lying on your bed for hours on end and still no end in sight
Depression is doing 15 things at once to try get an interest in even one
Depression isnt attention seeking
Its saying I’m done
So I’m begging you from the bottom of my erratic panicked heart
If someone you love reaches a hand out reaching
Please if only for a moment remember how much they mean to you
