Start with trust and open heart
bare yourself completely
believe it when they say
I love you ever sweetly
Share your every fear
and hold them confident
believe that they respect you
with camaraderie’s lament
Let them tell you what you want
And give them what they need
Watch as buzzards gather
On your open heart to feed
Reach out for friendship’s hand
when your way becomes unsure
and grab at distant lies
catching pain which will endure
Look into their eyes
Your feelings want to share
Tell them you are hurting
then wait for them to care
