Crossroads
She walks idly to a destination unknown,
Nothing felt like something.
Passing pedestrians thought she was senseless.
Why did she not know her destination?
She lacked logic in her thoughts.
Amongst the chaos in her mind,
Crossroads were fast approaching.
She had to choose.
Left. Offering safety, security, stability.
Right. Proposing a purpose,
Beyond her expectations of what this life could possibly provide.
Right for risk. Left for 'love’.
She wanted to find what made her own self.
Not to be reliant on others, but dependent on herself.
She chose right.
